Our previous magazine, Midwest Beef Producer, was published for the first time in 1994 as a combination of 2 previous publications, Minnesota Beef Producer + Wisconsin Beef Producer magazines, with a combined total of 3,000 subscribers. Then for over 25 years, Jim Sample, who held a Masters Degree in Agricultural Journalism and Advertising from Cornell University, published Midwest Beef Producer Magazine. MWBP magazine grew into a successful publication and with that, the subscription list grew year by year.
After the passing of Jim, his son Derek took the reins and rebranded/relaunched the magazine in September, 2020. Now known as American Beef Producer, we currently have over 18,000 subscribers across the country. We feature more content, photos, stories, articles, education and advertising that target our readers.
The staff here is dedicated to the American Beef Producer and their desire for more knowledge that can be applied to their own operations. We all have vast amounts of experience in this genre and know what it takes to produce a magazine that will keep our reader’s interest, month to month. Our reputation over the last 25+ years keeps us as a regular read at American Ranches and Farms alike. We often hear from readers that our magazine is the most popular and chosen industry publication and that it is proudly displayed in their home or office for others to read.
